A while back, I talked about the “DesktopTwo”, which is a web desktop providing variety of facility.

This time, I am going to introduce you to the collection of all the web desktop available on the Internet. Here goes the list.

  • DesktopTwo: One of the best web desktop. I have reviewed this service over here.
  • YouOS:The web OS service currently in the Alpha version allows users to share, and use more than 600 application develop by it’s user.
  • DesktopOnDemand:Provides about 1Gb of space and claim to provide the functionality of the desktop added with the facility of online service.
  • Eye OS: This is the open source Web OS, which can be downloaded and used on your own server or can be hosted on the eyeOS server.
  • Goowy: This is a well desgined desktop top service. It is different from web OS.
  • Craythur Beta: People at craythur beta claim to develop system that will change the method we work on internet. It provides myBanking facility along with common other features. It provides only 100MB of space.
  • Glide: The excellent desktop service, other than a free service, which is limited only upto 4 users and 2GB space, it also provides a paid service at $4.95 per month, with 10GB space and 24 users.
  • Orca: A complex to use service, with no firefox support, is really tough to go with.
  • g.ho.st: It’s a simple to us Web OS, It doesn’t provide gaming and file sharing facility.
  • SSOE: This is currently under development. Although they provide a trial through the semi-stable and unstable version. Hey!What’s to even run unstable version?
  • Widget Top: It’s more like a personal page than a desktop, it has lots of google desktop like widgets, hence it’s worth mentioning over here.
  • Dekoh: A pramati company from the San Jo, introduce the web desktop platform for the applications, helps the user. It’s completely build on Java and it’s most robust part is to build and deploy web applications.
  • Exo’s Web Desktop: This really a cool one, with java on server side and java and HTML on the browser side technology. You need to install their software on your desktop so as to use thier web OS service. It’s well customizable in terms of look and feel.

Services yet to start:

  • Xindesk: This is program is currently under development and under sign up beta. You need to sign up to get notified when the service starts. (Update: Launched In Alpha Phase)
  • StartForce: The site claims to be Japan’s best web desktop, which have more than 15 application to start with and help developers with API. You need to provide e-mail address to get notified when service starts.

Hey! If I have forgotten any, then please mention that Web Desktop service in the comment section, I will update the list.
